This week and last

Hi Folks, you are getting a double this week.  A week last Wednesday members of the club met in Lymm.  We seem to have made it an annual visit on a summers evening.  Incidentally it just happens to have a very nice ‘chippy’ open in the evenings and across the road from a cosy little pub too.

This year’s visit to Lymm themed around letters; found everywhere we look, making words which give us direction, instruction, advice, etc., on bill boards, shop windows, sign posts – the list is almost endless.  What a treasure trove of colours, fonts and a mix & match to create ideas with – all there for the looking at.

Yesterday evening we were made extremely welcome by members of the Mossfield Allotments in Flixton.  Our club members were able to walk round taking photographs, careful not to tread on vegetables, till light began to fade and also regrettably the little drizzle, with us at the start of the visit, turned heavier.  Have you noticed we can manage rain – till it gets down the collar; then all is lost!   Anyway, it did not dampen our spirits which were lifted by being invited to a marvelous spread of scones and home made jams, biscuits, etc., and tea or coffee to finish the visit off.  Thank you to the Mossfield team who looked after us.

The use of ABC’s all around us

hot drink, scones and jam, very pleasant.
