Today I noticed blossom on a nearby tree.  A sure sign of Spring and a pretty site whilst dealing with the  aftermath of Doris’s wind.

Going back a few months to the beginning of this winter period,  some members of the club spent a weekend in Penrith.  This was in early November to visit the towns annual Winter Droving event.  The town gives its self over to a full Saturday of street activities, culminating in a night time parade to remember the times when the animals  were herded off the hills before the onset of winter proper, for warmer quarters.
